Follow these simple rules to ensure your tanning smart.
Tanning is simple really. Tanning is our skin's natural reaction to sunlight. To thrive our bodies need water, food and sunlight.
We recommend to always follow the golden rule. Never burn. When you sunburn that's causing damage to your skin. We recommend to go low and slow to build a base tan slowly without ever burning.
By building a base tan I have to wear minimal sunscreen during the summer months and am protected when I'm outside from burning. I've build my skins natural sunscreen, a tan.
Benefits of tanning
Several health benefit claims such as improved appearance, enhanced mood, and increased vitamin D levels have been attributed to tanning. Tanning has been shown to improve energy and elevate moods. Ever notice how much more energy and happier you tend to be in the summer months where the days are longer and warmer, than the cold, dark winter months? Studies have also show light boost serotonin levels, which is the happy hormone. Spending 10 minutes in a bed will not only improve your tan, but the endorphins are what make you feel better!
I personally tend to tan the most during the winter months. I suffer from SAD (seasonal affected disorder) This tends to make me sad and moody. When I pop in a few times a week to tan it improves my mood tremendously. Not only that but I find keeping my vitamin D levels up help prevent colds.
Moderation is key?
With anything in the world moderation is key. You never want to overdue it.
Building a base tan you only need to come 2-4 times a week. Planning a trip give yourself 30 days to build that base tan slowly.
Maintaining an existing tan only requires tanning 1-2 times a week.
What package is best for me?
Our tanning consultants are always here to help you find the perfect tanning package. However a good rule of thumb is.. tanning twice a week or more choose one of our unlimited packages, either 1 month or 6 month commitment. Tanning 1-2 times a week chose our Minute package. Tanning less sporadic than that chose our sessions.
