Let's set Intentions not Resolutions.
I ran across an Instagram post that said set intentions not resolutions. It really resonated with me. I have always loved the renewed sense of energy the new year brings. The excitement to have a great year, to put into action new healthy habits. Why did intentions versus resolutions impact me so much. Let's look at the definition of both.
a firm decision to do or not to do something.
the quality of being determined or resolute.
a thing intended; an aim or plan.
Not really a whole lot different really, very similar. So why? Did I fail at resolutions so its left a bad taste in my mouth? Possibly. Either way I love the idea of intentions over resolutions.
My intentions are to continue to make healthy habits professionally and personally. Add more consistency and discipline. My work out routine has been more of a therapy to me. To move my body improves my mood so much. My goals are to continue to do things that bring me joy, improve my mind, body and spirit. What does all of this relate to tanning. Well my mind and body do feel better when I am in a tanning regimen.
This time of year I enjoy 3 times a week of red light therapy. Think full skin rejuvenation. It truly is so incredible and helps with so much. The main benefits I use it for are muscle recovery, scars and stretch marks. It also aids in stretch marks, acne, inflammation and many more. For max effectiveness they recommend 20 minute sessions 3 times a week for 6 weeks. After that you can do more of a maintenance schedule and as your body needs it. I still continue 1-2 times a week. If you haven't tried red light yet we have a great intro offer... our 5 session package for 50% off.
UV Tanning.. I like to UV tan 1-2 times a week. My body needs the vitamin D in the winter months more than any other time of year. It helps ward of sickness. Warms up my bones and helps reduce muscle tightness. Having a healthy glow doesn't hurt either. ;)
Lastly I usually spray tan once a month before a special event for that instant color. I definitely have more swagger with that extra color. As a mom and busy business owner taking time out for myself for self care is probably the most important. It's so easy to get lost, consumed and give to everyone else. The few minutes I give to myself with movement and self care truly fill my cup. You know what they say you can not pour from an empty cup. Let us help you fill your cup!
We are so proud to have three locations to serve you. Angels Camp, Valley Springs and Sonora.
As always thank you for listening to my ramblings.
Cheers to New Year, Better You and Setting Intentions.
